High School Football: 5 Thoughts On Week 6 Of Massachusetts Football

There were not that many great game this past weekend but there was still some quality football played. Here five thoughts on Week 6.

1.Milton proved that they are a legit contender in Division 4 South with an impressive win over Needham. The Wildcats held on despite a huge performance from Duke commit Matt Smith.

2. Mansfield got a scare from Attleboro winning in the waning second 42-35. The Hornets have proved with wins over KP and Attleboro that they know how to win close games. That is important when making a championship run.

3. Mashpee has won 26 games in a row and much of their success can be attributed to running back Devaun Ford who has proven once again that he can take games over.

4. Falmouth is flying under the radar at 5-0. The Clippers are once again running roughshod through the competition with their flexbone triple option offense. They will be the favorites in D5 South.

5. Don’t sleep on Nashoba and Doherty in Central Mass. Both are undefeated and both are legit contenders to get to Gillette and win a state title.
