If you’re looking for a way to get your child into some football activities while helping out a good cause, this event next weekend is for you.
On October 30 (6 P.M.) at Malden Catholic High School, Framingham State University defensive coordinator Shawn Theriault is running a combine type of event for middle school aged kids.
“We teamed up with Malden Catholic to give our youth a fun outlet to compete with other local athletes while raising money for cancer research,” Theriault said. ‘All while being able to be socially distanced and safe. With all that is going on, we wanted to continue the tradition of athletes supporting breast cancer.”
The month of October is known for football and breast cancer awareness. Many middle school students have had their sports seasons shelved, but, that’s no reason they can’t test their skills while raising awareness for a cause that hits home for so many.
““This event gives our program an opportunity for athletes to test their skills while supporting those in need and contributing to Breast Cancer research.” added Bill Raycraft, the Athletic Director at Malden Catholic.
Registration is now open. Laser timed events, meet college coaches and learn about the recruiting process.
